A Commuter’s Tale

I commute to work. I’ve ridden jeepneys, buses, taxis, and LRTs. Majority of my commute is with the jeepneys. Jeepneys nowadays sport these decals saying “No Smoking” in accordance with R. A. ###. These decals are located both in front and in back of the driver. Lo and behold, the driver more often than not would smoke. So, this Republic Act is just being paid lip service to by these drivers. To whom do we report these law-breaking citizens?

Asa ka pa diyan sa mga drivers na yan. Their minds can not process what is written there and yet, they shelled out money to pay for that. Had they known any better, they could have been your colleagues in the hospital; either an orthopedic surgeon (like Dr. Patrick Leh) or some rowdy cardiologist (like Dr. Ronello Cabuling). LOL!
